BIB NUMBER COLLECTION

Bib numbers and race kits can be picked up at the Athlete Village at Piazzale Michelangelo (start/finish area of the races) during the following times:

13 km by night, 10 km Urban Walking, Ultra Challenge and Super Challenge
Friday 2nd March from 3 pm to 8 pm

42 km and 80 km
Friday 2nd March from 3 pm to 8 pm
Saturday 3rd March from 6:30 am to 8 am

 

OBLIGATORY EQUIPMENT

The lack of obligatory material in the race is a reason for disqualification.
Mandatory equipment list:

13 km by night and 10 km Urban Walking
- headlamp which must be switched on for the entire race

42 km
- camelbag with a capacity for at least a litre of liquid
- cup, glass or water bottle (there are no glasses at the refreshment points)
- windbreaker
- survival blanket
- bib number visible for the full duration of the race

80 km
- camelbag with a capacity for at least a litre of liquid
- cup, glass or water bottle (there are no glasses at the refreshment points)
- windbreaker
- survival blanket
- headlamp
- whistle
- mobile phone
- food reserve
- bib number visible for the full duration of the race

 

REFRESHMENT POINTS


Besides the final refreshment point, there are five refreshment points for the EcoTrail Florence 80 km race.
- Castel di Poggio (km 16)
- Santuario Madonna del Sasso (km 27)
- Convento di Monte Senario (km 42)
- Olmo (km 51)
- Fattoria di Maiano (km 67)

Two the refreshment points for the Ecotrail Florence 42 km race.
- Castel di Poggio (km 16)
- Fattoria di Maiano (km 30)

The final refreshment point is the only one for the 13 km by night and for the 10 km urban walking races.

Remember that it is essential to the spirit of the trail not to leave any kind of rubbish on the ground and therefore there will be appropriate bins in the various refreshment points.
There will be no plastic glasses in the refreshment points and each participant must have their own glass or personal water flask.
EcoTrail Florence participates in the "Io non getto i miei rifiuti" (“I don’t abandon my rubbish”) campaign.

CHANGING ROOMS / CLOAKROOM


The changing rooms are located at the Tennis Club “Luci al Piazzale”, about 200 metres from Piazzale Michelangelo.
The changing rooms will also be used as cloakrooms and will be supervised by volunteers.
All participants are invited not to leave any valuables in the changing room.
The organisation declines all responsibility for the loss or damage of personal effects left in the changing rooms.

Changing rooms will be open:

- Friday from 8.00 pm to 9 pm (when the 13 km by night race begins), and again from 21.45 pm until the end of the fixture for changing and bag collection

- Sunday they will be open from 7,30 am until 8,30 am and from 11,30 am until midnight.

 

TIMING


All EcoTrail Florence and Firenze Urban Trail and races will have chip technology.
These the chip reading:
- Starting /finishing line
- Castel di Poggio (42 km e 80 km)
- Monte Senario (80 km)
- Fattoria di Maiano (42 e 80 km).

The chip, which is already inserted into the bib number,  must be returned to race personnel at the finishing line in Piazzale Michelangelo.
Athletes who lose their chip must pay a compensation of €25.00
.
 

MEDICAL SERVICE


EcoTrail Florence and Firenze Urban Trail medical service is guaranteed by the Croce Rossa Italiana, and its personnel specialised in first aid.
The service will be coordinated in Piazzale Michelangelo at the starting and finishing points, at the first aid stand.
 

TOILETS

There are toilets in the changing rooms.
Other chemical toilets can be found in Piazzale Michelangelo.
